We had our first open day in the lab on Sat 31st March. Applicants to the New Media Degrees (BSc (Hons) Multimedia Design Technology and BA (Hons) Interactive Media Design) were introduced to Morae and our EEG set up. One exercise included using brain power to raise an animated ball in the air. This image shows the brainwave analyzer.
Our next step is to run a series of pilot studies. The first beginning in June will investigate claims made in Don Norman’s book Emotional Design and generally investigate the notion of neuro-usability. I'll post more on that soon, but we are working with a major UX company and recruiting students from UEL to help us test.
