Theory Objectives

One of the clear objectives of the lab is to draw on a wide range of reading materials to inform new methods and ideas about how to do UX research. To this extent I have been reviewing a number of books on emotion from various disciplines. Here is a list - more comments to follow.

Cognition and Emotion: Reviews of Current Research and Theories, edited by De Houwer and Hermans, Psychology Press (2010).

Stoicism and Emotion, Graver, Chicago Press (2007).

Metaphors We Live By, Lakoff and Johnson, Chicago Press (1980, 2003).

Echo Objects: The Cognitive Work of Images, Stafford, Chicago Press (2007).

And oh yes and we are painting the lab this week ;-)
